About Jessica Smith D.O.M.P.
Manual Osteopathy for Concussions, TMJ, Infants, and Chronic Pain
I help people find the point where things begin to shift — the moment pain patterns soften, the nervous system settles, and the body reconnects with its ability to heal. My work focuses on, nervous-system-based osteopathy for concussion recovery, TMJ and migraine pain, chronic pain, and infant care. Each treatment invites the body to move toward balance, resilience, and ease.

Osteopathy
I’m Jessica Smith, a Manual Osteopath and the owner of Pivot Point Osteopathy in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I’m especially passionate about helping people recover from concussions, ease TMJ and migraine pain, support babies and new parents, and find steadier ground in chronic pain or nervous system overwhelm. My approach is gentle, precise, and focused on understanding how the body compensates after injury, stress, birth experiences, or trauma. Small changes often have a domino effect throughout the body. As gentle treatment begins to unwind the compensation patterns your system has created over time, other areas naturally shift and release as well. This is why we leave space between sessions, so your body has time to integrate and reorganize. Many clients notice changes in areas we never directly treated, which is the entire point: when we address the root cause, the rest begins to unravel. Before making large changes, I first look for vitality — the system’s resilience and capacity to adapt. Without enough vitality, the body cannot sustain new patterns. Like the rings of a tree that tell its history, the body often reveals its story in layers. As we work through those layers safely and steadily, you can move toward greater freedom of movement, decreased pain, and improved nervous system resilience, especially in cases involving trauma or PTSD.
